Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 August 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Narayan Path Labs (a unit of Narayan Biologicals Pvt. Ltd., "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use www.drnarayanpathlab.com, book a test with us, or use our home-collection and reporting services. By using our website or services you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
When you book a test we collect the details you provide: your name, mobile number, city and area, collection address, preferred collection date and time, the tests or packages you select, and your payment preference. Because we are a diagnostic laboratory, the tests you book and the reports we generate constitute health information, and we treat all of it with the confidentiality that medical data requires.
If you choose to pay online, payment is processed by our payment gateway partner (such as Razorpay). Your card, UPI or banking details are entered directly with the gateway — we never see or store them. We may also collect standard technical data (device type, pages visited) through analytics tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how the website is used.
How we use your information
We use your information solely to deliver our services: to schedule and complete sample collection at your address, process your tests, generate and deliver your reports, send booking confirmations and updates on WhatsApp, SMS or by phone call, process payments and refunds, respond to your queries, and improve our website and service quality. We may also use it where the law requires us to.
Your health information
Test reports are shared only with you and, where you ask us to, with your referring doctor. Our laboratory staff, phlebotomists and pathologists access your samples and results only to perform their duties and are bound by professional confidentiality. As an NABL-accredited and ICMR-registered laboratory, we follow the record-keeping and quality standards those bodies require.
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We share it only with: (a) our own staff and phlebotomists to fulfil your booking; (b) service providers who help us operate — our payment gateway, our WhatsApp/SMS messaging provider, and the laboratory information system through which reports are delivered — each only to the extent needed for their function; and (c) government or health authorities where disclosure is required by law, such as the mandatory notification of certain communicable diseases.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (such as keeping your cart) and, where enabled, for analytics and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect parts of the website such as checkout.
Data retention
We retain test records and reports for the periods required by applicable laws and laboratory accreditation standards. Booking and contact information is retained for as long as needed to serve you, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and confidentiality obligations on staff — to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data in line with industry practice.
Your rights
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, ask us to delete data we are not legally required to retain, and withdraw consent for uses that rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a grievance about how your data is handled, contact us using the details below — we will respond within the timelines the law prescribes.
Children
Bookings for persons under 18 must be made by a parent or guardian, who provides the required information and consent on the minor's behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with its effective date. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
